Accessibility Information for Contributor Day and After Party Venue

Location

WordCamp Europe 2018 will be held Belexpo Centar, Španskih boraca 74, Belgrade.

General information

  • Bathrooms are not gender-neutral. All bathrooms have at least one accessible stall.
  • Bathrooms, elevators, and escalators will be marked on the booklet that’s provided to all attendees.
  • Assistance animals are welcome, but drinking water is not available for them.

Information for people with physical disabilities

  • The building is accessible by wheelchair, with mild ramps.
  • The floor is flat and is suitable for most wheelchairs and other mobility aids. There are elevators and all areas of the building are accessible to wheelchair users.
  • Outlets are available and you’re welcome to use them to charge powerchairs or mobility scooters. You’ll need to bring your own chargers.
  • Comfortable sofas and chairs are available.
  • All bathrooms have at least one accessible stall. Signs will point to the location of the bathrooms and they will also be marked on the booklet that’s provided to all attendees.
  • All doors are standard office doors, wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • The doors are not power assisted and there are no door bells. However, volunteers will be on hand to help if required at the doors.

Information for D/deaf, hard-of-hearing, and sound-sensitive people

  • Assistance animals are welcome, but drinking water is not available for them.
  • Although live captioning will be provided in English for all presentations in the main conference tracks, we regretfully don’t have the resources to also provide captioning for presentations during Contributor Day.
  • We regretfully do not have the resources for sign language interpreters at our events.
  • The rooms are not fitted with hearing loops.
  • The venue can sometimes be loud, if you need hearing protection in social situations then we recommend bringing ear defenders.

Information for blind, partially-sighted people, and photosensitive people

  • Assistance animals are welcome, but drinking water is not available for them.
  • Flicker-free lighting is in use throughout the venue.
  • Large print versions of resources are not available. We aim to make all important resources available on our website, however. Please contact us if you have any trouble zooming into or viewing resources here.

Information for Autistic, anxious and Neurodiverse people

  • Assistance animals are welcome, but drinking water is not available for them.
  • We welcome anxious or nervous people to come along to all of our events early if they want to talk to an individual contact person before coming along into a group. Feel welcome to contact us.

Food and dietary information

  • Food and drink will be available at the venue.
  • The venue provides tea, coffee, fresh water, soft drinks and snacks.
  • We request information about your personal dietary requirements when you purchase a ticket through our site. The following options will be available: Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, gluten-free, kosher, and halal. Please make us aware of any allergies or other dietary requirements when purchasing your ticket.
  • You are welcome to bring your own food and drink if preferred.
  • Tobacco and unlawful drugs are not permitted to be used at our event. You are welcome to bring your own prescription medication. A smoking area is available outside and will be marked.
  • Alcohol will be available at the after party but is not permitted during Contributor Day.
