Get yourself a SIM while in Belgrade for #WCEU

Serbia is not the EU member and you can expect roaming charges which are high especially for data. In order to avoid roaming charges you can use WiFi which is available for free in most of the coffee places, Naxis Taxi vehicles, WCEU venues and every park in the city center.

If you need to be online 24/7, we suggest buying one of the SIM cards for tourists or shorter stay.

Mobile operators

There are three big mobile operators and one minor. While Telenor and MTS have a very good coverage, you might experience slight issues and lower quality connection with VIP Mobile and the minor operator Globaltel.

Be careful! Though you can buy your local SIM card immediately after landing on Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport we recommend to not get it there as we heard some shops will sell you a 20€ SIM card instead.
We recommend buying your tourist SIM card in any Kiosk you can find in the city.

Here are the packages that can be interesting to you from each operator.

Telenor

Prepaid Internet Tourist package

We highly suggest Telenor because of the quality and reliability. Choose prepaid Internet Tourist package which contains a SIM card and promotional 10 GB at the price of 545 RSD (less than 5 EUR) with included VAT. As part of Telenor Prepaid Internet Tourist package, you will get a prepaid Internet card with 10 GB of free traffic which you can use within 15 days from the package activation.

If you use up the free traffic before these 15 days expire, you can recharge with one of the Internet top-ups or tariff add-ons or continue surfing from credit for the price of 1 RSD per 1 MB.
