Small businesses take the floor at WordCamp Europe 2018

  • Sponsoring WordCamp Europe is even more attainable this year
  • Past sponsor recounts their experience
  • Sponsorship slots are filling up fast

WordCamp Europe has become an annual highlight for anyone working with WordPress. With 30% of the web now powered by WordPress, WordCamps bring together thousands of professionals and influencers to participate, share ideas and get to know each other. They are non-profit events organised by people from within the WordPress community on a voluntary basis.

Small Business sponsorship was introduced as a sponsorship package at WordCamp Europe in 2017. The package allows small businesses that work with WordPress and generate less than 1 million euros in annual sales to gain visibility at WCEU, and it was such a successful new sponsorship opportunity that WCEU 2018 is bringing it back this year.

Robot Ninja, a small business sponsor at WCEU 2017 wrote about their experience afterwards, explaining that, for them, it was a great opportunity to get feedback from everyone on their business concept. They had great traction with the WordPress community, with many attendees signing up to be notified of when their beta product was made available. They also gave  away 70+ hoodies in 2.5 hours! This shows how co-operative the WCEU audience is.

For WCEU 2018, 20 Small Sponsor slots have been offered and some of the companies confirmed to join WordCamp Europe in Belgrade are WPML, Shifter, Savvii, Seravo, Polylang, and Malcare.

Speakers, attendees and sponsors will come to Belgrade for WCEU from all corners of the world, and sponsorship gives businesses both access and high visibility.

With just 7 slots left and at 1500 Euros each, there is still an opportunity for small businesses involved with WordPress to take advantage of the sponsorship perks, and introduce their products to an inclusive and receptive audience.

Applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

WordCamp Europe takes place between 14-16 June, 2018 in Belgrade, Serbia.
