Sign Up for Childcare at #WCEU

WordCamps are one of the most inclusive web-oriented conferences out there and affordable to thousands of people around the world. WordCamp Europe is no exception. Each year we try to raise the bar higher, by creating a welcoming experience for everyone. For the last two years we have provided childcare for every parent attending WCEU, and we are doing so again this year. Parents, get ready to rock the conference while your children have the fun they deserve in our dedicated childcare areas.

As we did at the last two WordCamps Europe (2016 in Vienna and 2017 in Paris), we intend to provide childcare during the two days of the conference in Belgrade (Fri 15 and Sat 16 June 2018).

In order to make WCEU accessible to every parent who wants to visit it, we are partnering with the Preschool Čukarica, the institution with the 72 years long tradition. Their international professional staff will be based in the same building where WordCamp Europe is held, within an amazing playground, where your kids will be entertained, safe and sound.

So, relax, enjoy and we’ll make sure your children are in the safe hands of trained teachers and nannies who speak English fluently and have faculty education from philosophy, pedagogy, and other relevant fields. We promise that your kids will have the best possible care and treatment, together with some nap time, since we know how important it is to let them rest between all that fun we are preparing for them.

Childcare details

  • Childcare will be handled by professionals in dedicated spaces inside the conference’s building for children who are between 6 months and 12 years old.
  • Childcare is open from 8 am to 6 pm during the two days of the conference, June 15 and 16.
  • Childcare will be closed during lunchtime.
  • Lunch remains the parent’s responsibility.

The childcare service is free for all our attendees but is limited to 25 children. If you want to leave your child at our child care service, you need to sign them up using our childcare registration form (and you need to get your WordCamp Europe ticket before signing up – in case you haven’t got one already).

Important: Please note that if you don’t sign up your children, we won’t be able to take care of them. Signups are mandatory!

Child care Čukarica institution

Preschool teachers of the institution are taking part in many international projects like Erasmus+, with the goal to increase overall IT skills and online exchange in professional community, and to create space and opportunities for all forms of intersectoral collaboration. The organization also participated to eTwinning annual conference, European community for schools with the aim to improve and enrich learning and motivation of pupils.

Last year, this childcare institution established International Cooperation Team to follow activities from European Development Plan and Institution Development Plan to assure that all of the team members, which are experienced professionals, proficient in English and with IT competencies, have experience in various educational projects both on the local, national and international level.

Bring your kids and enjoy the conference! For any additional questions about childcare, please don’t hesitate to use the contact form on the site.
